Snow?

Helloo, I hope you all are well your end :-) I wanted to wish you all a great weekend before I leave from work, Daniel and I are off to Arboga to celebrate Lena's birthday in advance and then off to my parents Saturday for some Christmas snorgling :-) Will surely be missing my family a lot during Christmas so I'm glad Daniel has such a great family!

Now, lets all join hands and wish for SNOW! ;-D Hugs!

Thu-hu-huuursday!

In a somewhat weird mood today. Or now atleast. We got an apology today that felt really good, it made all the stress caused by yesterdays event completely vanish. Lovely feeling :-) We decided to have a meeting soon and also we'll be given an updated version of the action plan = great!

Will be leaving work early today, have to go back to Liljeholmstorget as I did a poor job shopping yesterday. Wasn't really in the mood and I usually suck at it anyway... Anywho, I am now determined to find new clothes! And perhaps a pair of BBB (beautiful brown boots), I've noticed there are quite a few shoe stores there ^_^

Starting to freak out a little about GOING TO THE USA! We'll really be going! Bought a device that counts steps taken so will try to update frequently while in New York :-D

Hugs!

Fire!

Second day in a row the fire alarm has set off due to construction workers not turning it off properly. The person in charge proves to be somewhat of a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hide every time the alarm goes off, only a female version (they're more nasty) and now we're all dead tired of it so we've spoken to our boss who will have a word with her. Phew.

Other than that we're all good, just had hot glögg (glühwein) and warm saffron buns. Already December 2nd, you can't start too soon with these luxuries :-D

Getting off work at 4PM and will be going to the brand new shopping centre here in Liljeholmen, they have H&M, Gina Tricot, Vero Moda, Cubus etc. Not too fond of shopping as I easily grow tired with it, but have to find a warm cardigan else I'll freeze to death! Had -3 degrees Celsius this morning!

Can you believe it's already Wednesday? Weekend and holiday closing in!

Saturday 21 November 2009

New Moon!

Had an AWESOME night out with the girls; Kitty, Nana, Viktoria and Alex. Seen New Moon and sooooo loved it, awesome evening! Apart from the ten thousand teenage girls trying to ruin our evening hahahaha, they kept screaming! I will have to see this film again, to be able to fully appreciate it (it does sort of ruin the mood when you're about to see a romantic movie kiss and the kids start screaming, which is followed by "SSSCHHHH!" and "SHUT UP!") ;-) Dunno about the three men in the audience, atleast I couldn't hear them through all the female noises...

Went home by subway, Kitty and I went the same way, and when I got home I did what I usually do - put the key in the locker and open the 2 meter high iron street door. However, this time was different...

MY KEY DIDN'T WORK!

I'm outdoors, Daniel wont be home for another hour, it's dark and I don't have my warm jacket on and MY KEY WONT WORK! I gave Daniel a call and I'm so glad he could hear his phone through the noise on the K1 gala! He gave me one of our neighbours telephone number whom I texted, but as it took a while and started to rain heavily aswell (haha, classic!) I decided to re-establish some childhood skills - CLIMBING! Quite enjoyed it to be honest :-D As soon as my feet where back on the ground our neighbour came through the door (oh, the timing...), not sure if he saw me climb or not *cough*

The good, the bad, the delicious

Aloha! Today is Wednesday, although it's been feeling like a Friday, the working week is coming to an end. Stayed home from work three days last week due to not being well, feeling better now but still not all good. Bloody sinuses, do you think one can have them removed?

As you all know, selling our apartment haven't been the easiest with it being November and most people focus on Christmas. We've gotten a bid, 150 000 SEK less than we want, so turned it down and prepared ourselves mentally on selling it in January instead. Then, on Monday, our estate agent phoned to let us know he'd gotten a call from a person wanting to come have a look. We decided on Tuesday at 5PM, so we spent Monday evening vaccuming and fixing at home, and Tuesday being hopeful. Five minutes past five, the estate agent called this woman to see if she found her way...

- Oh, I'm soooooooo-ooh sorry, something's come up so I can't make it and I TOTALLY forgot to let you know!

The estate agent then rang us to let us know and for obviuos reasons he was very upset! So were we of course, but hey, we are only human - sometimes you forget things... (I know, I'm a goldfish). We had hoped they could arrange for a new appointment but as we haven't heard from the estate agent today one might have to assume there wont be another one. OK, so January it is then! Best month of the whole year to sell an apartment, according to estate agents! Can't get better than that :-) The contract with our current estate agent will expire mid December, so we'll arrange for another estate agent to come help us instead. Can't wait!

This evening we made a fancy dinner, I made hamburgers and cooked potatoes, along with bearnaise sauce = OH MY GOD, delicious! :-D Felt like a true (desperate) housewife again, been a while since we tried something new for dinner :-) And there's no eeeend to the goodies - last night I made my gooey chocolate cake with whipped cream!

Friday: NEW MOON on the cinemas, and guess who's going? ;-)

Love, Lina

Monday 9 November 2009

Lina = Smarties

Update on the apartment business! Had a second open display yesterday and I said beforehand that I'd be happy if we had five parties showing up...

W e l l, w h a d d a y a k n o w . . .

Five parties showing ;-) We have another open display this evening at 6.30PM and THIS time I'll be wishing for even more! ^_^ We'll be having dinner at the Thai Restaurant in our neighbourhood at the time of the open display, after that we'll be taking a long walk. Help us cross fingers please! Tonight is the night! :-D

Anywhoo, hopes are high, I'm positive we'll be one apartment shorter by the end of this week :-) Can't wait, I'm really looking forward to packing our stuff and getting things organized and planned hehe. Keep dreaming about how beautiful we will make it in our new apartment, feels great to get to try out an open design (for the kitchen/livingroom) as oppose to our current apartment.

As you can see I'm being naughty today - I'm having Smarties! We rent our coffee machines here at work, and sometimes when they come here for maintenance they bring us goodies :-D

Todays harvest: two tubes of Smarties! I sneaked away to give Daniel a paper cup full of em aswell

Longing for bed, don't feel well at all... My head feels like it's filled with cotton, my sinuses wont stop aching and my throat is all swollen again (think I will have to remove it!). Will be having Tylenol Sinus Congestion to go with dinner hehe.

Friday 6 November 2009

;-)

My darling Daniel helping me with my computer at work :-) Can only see the top of his head due to the table being at it's most elevated position. Charlotte from EDS is standing beside him but she's too short to show ;-) Not too long to go now, will be Friday for real sooooon!

Have a great weekend!
Love

Freitag.

Could it be any better? :-D Been waiting for this day since Sunday haha! This week has been intense, busy at work with ups and downs. Some evenings we haven't had any energy to leave the apartment, some evenings we've been out for a couple of hours. Met some people that were unable to stop talking, and some people unable (or unwilling) to speak at all. Hopefully some sleep in tomorrow, before we go about it with all the tidying and cleaning. Another open display on Sunday and Monday! And this time I T - W I L L - W O R K - OUT - WELL.

Period. ;-)

Got my boots on today which came as a surprise even to me! The thing is, as my ordinary working trousers are in the laundry basket I've put on a pair of slim fit trousers, and for those I can't use my ordinary shoes. Hence the black boots - suddenly I look all posh ;-)

Fathers Day on Sunday, off to my parents in the evening for some coffee.

Sooo glad it's Friday. Phew.

Monday 2 November 2009

Thank god for Vicks Blue.

Today it's 39 days to go, and we're beginning to feel how it's actually for real - we ARE going to Pittsburgh! Made reservations for a hotel in New York (on Manhattan, wohoo!) and also flight which all is expensive of course but not something we didn't anticipate.

I'm at work, sitting on the heating cushion Daniel bought me this weekend, too bloody cold in this building! I'm still freezing but that's probably due to having a bit of a cold (sore throat and head feeling like a giganormous cotton plantation); this cushion rocks! Looking forward to coming home (well, after having bought fundamental nessecities like food etc) and crawling in under our brand new down comforter (thank you Lena and Tord!) in the sofa watching a movie. Looked at Reservoir Dogs last night, quite good with intriguing and fun monologue but a bit too bloody for my delicate taste.. ;-)

Been on the phone for the last hour + talking to our helpdesk. Need Java to be able to hand in a report on working hours every month, but now (SUDDENLY) it has stopped working so tried downloading it myself. No luck, of course, as I'm not the local administrator of my computer.. Helpdesk didn't succeed either, so will have to do a scan for viruses which is about an hour and then try installing it again. If that doesn't work they'll send me an onsight runner to help me out.

All this work to be able to get Java..

OH MY GOD WE'RE GOING TO THE USA! AND SOOOOOOON! And we're having tacos this evening.

Thursday 29 October 2009

Richard!

Hope lovely surprises are coming your way,
to make your birthday a wonderful day.

Happy birthday, dear Richard!

Wednesday 28 October 2009

Tuesdays with Morrie

Good evening! Had LOTS to do lately so not had time to write, shame on me! To be honest I've missed it quite a bit, having a blog really is great fun :-)

Been a good week so far, had Micha, Yorda and little Linnou visiting yesterday for some thai take away dinner and cappucino afterwards - always fun meeting them! They didn't stay for too long though as little Linnou grew tired with us all and wanted to go home ;-) Practically had to drag Micha out of the livingroom, he and Daniel had found the Fifa game hehe.

Sometime during the day yesterday Malin and Johan sent me a text asking if we could meet Wednesday as they were in Stockholm for a mini holiday. Johan is my three year younger cousin and Malin is his very nice girlfriend. Of course we said yes, and so they came to visit today around 6PM! We got off work at 5PM and, believe it or not, in that time we did not ONLY have time for dinner; we made THE famous gooey chocolate cake! Yumster :-D They left shortly after 8PM as their bus was scheduled to leave for Sandviken at 9PM. Been a good night!

Also, another thing, Mia has gotten a job in Pittsburgh which is GREAT! She will be working as a professional organizer and I can't say I have NOT considered asking her for help some time in the future as I'm sure I could learn a lot (feng shui if not!) :-D Mia, we SOOOOOO hope you will get to work with that family you met when you were shadowing Jill! A huge congratulations from us!

At the moment Daniel is in the livingroom playing Xbox, I have sent Malin and Johan an e-mail to show them some Pixar short film highlights...

Two favourites, enjoy:

Been cold all day so will start moving into the shower and later on to bed, I've got Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom waiting for me by the bed! Oh, and another thing...

My new watch!

Saturday 24 October 2009

Gaah!

Open display tomorrow! Anxious!

Off to Taxinge Slott meanwhile, along with Stefan and Mimmi :-)

Love!

Tuesday 20 October 2009

Intermission.

Pausing a little tonight.. We've been sooo good cleaning and fixing at home! Saturday was spent indoors, sorting out what can be thrown out and what can not, after that we went to Sickla Köpcentrum (a shopping mall close by) as we both needed to get some fresh air ;-) However, it soon appeared the rest of Swedens whole population had felt the same need to get out, which caused a slight shortage in parking spaces.. Only spot we could find was for 30 minutes parking, meant we had to rule out the latte we thought we had so well deserved, but had to focus on the shopping only. Can't say we're inefficient in ANY WAY when it comes to shopping - we're FAST! Fast and efficient ;-)

Sunday evening we went to the movies with Stefan and Mimmi to se Up! - it was great! Brought a tear to my eye at times, which I definitely didn't expect, hehe, it's supposed to be a fun movie! Don't get me wrong though, it sure was fun and I definitely recommend it :-)

According to our to do-list we still have to clean the windows and do another round of vaccuum cleaning/tidying, then we should be all set for the open house display on Sunday at 1PM and Tuesday at 6PM next week! Not as anxious anymore, although I'm sure we will both be freaked out Sunday morning and Tuesday evening ;-)

Had a pretty good week at work so far, no huge or unexpected events! Daniel is off to meet with his new employer tomorrow morning which is great! Looking forward to having dinner at Texas Longhorn in the evening to celebrate :-D Richard, Texas Longhorn is indeed a place where you eat meat! Best dish in my opinion is the bacon wrapped tenderloin with fries and guaccamole, of course without the bacon.. ;-)

Time to try out Overlord on the Xbox 360! Toodles!

Thursday 15 October 2009

Exhausted

Evening! Not done a lot this evening hehe... Got home from work, went to the thai restaurant around the corner to fetch our dinner, went back home and have hardly moved since ;-) Daniel has been playing Brothers in Arms [Road to Hell] on the Xbox 360 and I've been taking care of all the animals and crops on Farmville on Facebook. Takes a loooot of energy to rearrange that place!

Not feeling too good again; soar throat and aching sinuses/head = BOOOOOO! Had a cup of tea and some pills, hoping a good nights sleep will make me feel better :-)

As you can see our apartment has been put up for sale as of this afternoon! Anxiously been waiting for it to happen and now that it's done it feels incredibly weird seeing it on the internet! Hardly any personal stuff showing which makes one wonder if we really do live here hahaha! Crossing our fingers :-)

Very glad it's Friday tomorrow, can't believe how fast this week has passed by! Wont complain though, would be nice with some sort of sleep in... *ZZzzZZZzz*

While on the subject, best get some sleep... Talk to you soon!

./MWAH!

Going live!

Wednesday 14 October 2009

A place called home.

So sorry for not being here for a while, we've both been terribly busy!

Saturday and Sunday: Tidying at home, packing books into boxes for storage until further notice to be able to put away some of the booze into the cupboard, else people will think we're alcoholics. Which we are not, these two evenings of champagne doesn't mean anything!

Monday: Stressful day at work, short lunch, then Daniel rushed home directly after swallowing the last bite to meet with the estate agent and the photographer. This took about 15 minutes, we will be getting the photographs Wednesday evening or Thursday morning as we will put our apartment up for sale Thursday afternoon. Yes, I will link it to here (will be in swedish though) ;-) When we finally came home we both collapsed in the couch doing absolutely nothing the rest of the evening!

Tuesday: Another b u s y day at work! Daniel went to the bank for a meeting and we got a GO for the loan, so Daniel called the estate agent whom we met with in the evening to sign the contract! Such a weeeeeird dude by the way...

We are now proud owners of Skidskyttevägen 4! :-D

Due to the very special moment we bought a bottle of champagne and celebrated when back home, wohooo! We've been living together for a year now, can you imagine?! :-)

Today after work we went to Muffinsfabriken on our street (the best bakery in town) as mum and dad are visiting tonight :-) I hope you will all have a great evening, I'm positive we will!

With loooooooove!

Thursday 8 October 2009

Almost Friday!

Hey all, I hope you are well! I'm very glad it's Friday tomorrow :-) Will have another weekend of working but it's all worth it, and frankly, it is quite fun once you're at it.

Did you know we heard from the estate manager the other day? We spoke to him last Friday to make an offer on the apartment, and he was going to call the owners and call us back in the beginning of this week. This he didn't, so Daniel phoned him yesterday to ask how things went.

- Well, you know, I... I have been at my summer house this weekend and was going to call them when I was on a break, and I've been tidying and fixing in the garden and so, you know, and noooo, I haven't had the chance to call them yet...

We were like
Really?! Who IS this loser HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! So he promised us he'd give the owner a phonecall today, and not too long after he called us back to say they've agreed to sell (we offered them a lower bid than what they had first said) at a price we could both be happy with. Soooo, that means WE GOT IT! The apartment we fell in love with! Now we just have to come to terms with OUR estate manager, wohoo!

This, in addition to Daniel getting good news from his accountant, called for a celebration of some sort so off we went to Texas Longhorn for a nice meal and then home to drink CHAMPAGNE! Awesome evening :)

Sunday 4 October 2009

We're done!

68 days to go! Our trip to Pittsburgh is getting closer and closer :-D

I trust you've all had a good weekend? Been quite like autumn hehe, very windy and raining, did get a couple of hours of sunshine though :-) And, you all know I love the autumn so I'm not complaining!

Friday we worked at home a lot, then Saturday morning at 10 AM Daniels mum and dad arrived. Apparently it was "Cinammon buns Day" on Sunday, so they had brought a pack of buns for the morning coffee - yum! Lena and I went out to make Kungens Kurva insecure (an enormous spread out mall just five minutes from where we live), there's a huge building with several home decorating stores. Which all turned out to be quite disappointing, I would never have guessed they've actually been there for quite some time now - they all looked like they had just moved in!

Our job was to find a red shower curtain for the bathroom... We found this brown and white one and really liked it! This way we can definitely keep the brown bathroom mat we got from Lena and Tord that they had bought for us when in the USA visiting Mia, Jan, Melvin and Alfred. Aaaand the soft towels we bought from the factory outlet in Skultuna ;-) Probably a better match anyway with the kind of pinkish colored walls... (terribly sorry about the coloring of the walls on the picture, they really aren't this pink!) Oh, how do you like our new bathroom sink by the way? :-)

In the evening we went to Texas Longhorn on Flemminggatan 27 for a well deserved (late) dinner - tremendously fumy from the cooking but OH MY GOD the food rocks! And I quite liked their beer aswell hihi! This is the third Texas Longhorn I've been to, and by far the best!

Sunday morning has passed, and we've not done a lot today... Went upstairs to do the washing which was done at 2PM, other than that we've been laying veeery low as we're both quite tired. Sort of looking forward to tomorrow, despite it being yet another working week, as we're waiting for the estate manager to call us back - we put down an offer for the apartment we want! :-D

Poor Daniel is off to the dentist tomorrow, wish him luck!

Love L

Happiness

Good morning! Guess what day it is? Friiiidayyyy! *does the happy dance* We were so happy we decided to help the plants to happiness aswell ;-) This is how we do it at work!

Will have a busy evening; get off work at 4.30 PM (I've swapped with Viktoria since she's off early to get a tattoo) then rush around to get stuff for the bathroom renovation, get food for dinner/breakfast/lunch and prepare everything for Saturday morning when Lena and Tord are coming. Aww how I look forward to it being all done :-D

Wednesday 30 September 2009

Renovations

Had a normal day at work - quite a lot to do as usual :-) Been very tired, which also does happen quite often... All in all a good day, but did get annoyed in the afternoon though due to some renovations going on in the building, on -1 floor (I'm on 0 floor) - my GOD they were drilling in concrete for little over three hours! So, Lina-in-the-warrior-mode phoned the property owner and demanded some answers mohahaha! Seems we will have to put up with this NOISE until mid November (!!!!) This is potentially fatal for me, jeeez I do not like construction work noises >_<>
Daniel went to see his accountant directly after lunch, she seems a good choice! Hoping she'll be able to get the income statement and balance sheet ready in an instant so we can go buy that apartment we've been longing for since we first laid eyes on it.

Will carry on working on the bathroom today which none of us are really looking forward to hehe, but rather looking forward to it being all done! Daniels mum and dad will come visit us Saturday to join in on the fun, and then off for a special surprise! Eeek, almost typed it out, but remembered JUST IN TIME that Lena and Tord might read this ;-)

Wondering how my brother and his gf are doing in Thailand, not heard from him at all so guessing they're busy relaxing and having fun :-)

I hope you all are well! Hugs!

Safety

Good afternoon, folks!
Thought I'd post some very useful information;

Nattknappen

This is a phone number you can ring if you're out alone and don't feel safe and need someone to keep track of where you are if something should happen (Stockholm only).

Monday 28 September 2009

A warm shower.

Can you think of anything better in this world? Right now I really cannot find something that'd beat that...

A warm shower, after a day of being cold and tired and really not liking the fact that it's Monday.

A warm shower, a day when you were awaken by rain on the window-ledge at 6.15 AM and you don't have to get up for another 45 minutes.

A warm shower, just before going to bed and you know the sheets are newly changed and you have 8 hours of sleep in front of you. I think I really should be a bear, going into hibernation... Ha, I'd love that! As long as I'm allowed to bring a few things with me of course! Did a test on Facebook and turns out I've got ADHD:

Though you aren’t really crazy, you do have issues. You are impulsive, hyperactive, and not to mention easily distracted. You can’t sit still and you don’t exactly think before you act. You just need to learn how to chill and everything will be good.

With this in mind I'd probably do best bringing distraction, else I wouldn't cope! :-D

Daniel got a call just before dinner, it was Andreas wondering if we could help carry (or Daniel rather as I'm not as strong - yeah I know) a cupboard that he was on his way to buy. Apparently this cupboard originates from the northern part of Sweden and is somewhere around 100-200 years old. It barely fit in his car but all went well! After one hour at the lady's house (it annoyed me greatly she had not even removed the books from the cupboard - we had to help her do that!) we managed to get the cupboard into the luggage space, waved him off and went home!

Started looking at Crank 2 but turned it off after like 20 minutes due to it not being very good, swapped to Shaolin Soccer, which seemed a liiiiittle weird to be honest... Will keep looking tomorrow, now it's time for bed :-)

Good night, sleep tight,
Don’t let the bedbugs bite.
And if they do
Then take your shoe
And knock them ‘til
They’re black and blue!

Sunday 27 September 2009

Renewal

Hellooo my darlings! Been a long weekend, and yet far too short! Managed to finish up pretty well in the bathroom; new sink, new mirror, a new bathroom cabinet and new hooks for the towels. We've also put up a new shelf in the livingroom, now we need more Iittala candlesticks... ;-) Threw away garbage at the recycling station, did a thourough cleaning of the apartment and did the laundry (in the public washing room on the attic as we threw our own washing machine out a couple of days ago)... Jeez this is tiring work! But oh so rewarding

Spoke to mum and dad in the morning about what we had planned for today and decided we'd go there for dinner, which we did! Was very nice, had pizza (*cough* not very healthy I know) and then some yummy coffee. Mum has started a blog aswell so looking forward to reading it, already signed up as a follower :-) She just gave me a ring, Daniel and I have been looking for a shower curtain and just couldn't find one we liked, but she'd found one today on La Redoute which we'll order!
We really like the colour and now, with the different colouring in the bathroom (mostly white), we need a happy colour :-D Red will most definitely do!

Started watching Year One with Jack Black in it, it's very funny - recommend it!

When a couple of lazy hunter-gatherers (Jack Black and Michael Cera) are banished from their primitive village, they set off on an epic journey through the ancient world in Columbia...

Happy hunting! Good night!

Thursday 24 September 2009

And the winner is...

Today, and for another two weeks, my brother will enjoy the lovely life of Thailand, which totally reminds me of mine and Daniels trip there earlier this year. He's staying in Hua Hin which is up north, we went to Khao Lak which is just 70 kilometres north of Phuket (and is where the tsunami hit the worst).

Here are some pictures to remind us all there IS a sun out there! (and yes, I really wanted to remind myself of our trip) ;-)

My darling Daniel the Great has returned from his night out with work - they started off with an hour of racing with gocarts, and guess who won? :-D

This time there is no tournament. This time there are no rules. This time there is only Annihilation.

It's beautiful! Shameful enough it's not in pure gold, what cheapskates, don't you think? After a total and humiliating annihilation of his opponents, ending up merely one second from the standing lap record, they all went for dinner at a restaurant called Göteborg which was a very nice place. Now I'm waiting for Daniel to take me there ;-)

Sleep well!

*hugs*

Monday 21 September 2009

Back on track

Evening! A quickie before we go to bed, I wanted to show you what greeted me this morning... ;-) We've done some changes at work so had a true barista pro at the office making awesome lattes and cappucinos! For freeeeeee! ^^Very yummy, aaaand they had cinnamon buns aswell! A great way to start the week! Although it did result in shakey hands and some nausea. All worth it!

Daniels parents Lena and Tord came home from the USA Saturday at 11.35 AM. We went there to surprise them... We thought the easiest way to get their attention among all the other globetrotters was to shout the name of their home town, so once we spotted them Daniel shouted:

- Arbogaaah!

It sure got their attention :-)

We're all admiring the huge trunk mountain before heading outside. We managed to fit all but one trunk in our BBB (Beautiful Baby BMW) to save Lena and Tord the trouble of dragging them all onto the bus on way to where they had parked their car. We are positive we would've fitted them all if it hadn't been for the fact that they had packed it full of delicate pressies, and didn't want to let it out of sight! Lunch consisted of PIZZA and a cappucino each for dessert, then they went back to the car to go home and Daniel and I went to bed. Totally exhausted (WE NEEEEED HOLIDAY). Woke up, went for a ride on the quad and then spent the rest of the night in the sofa watching the incredible Hulk (oops I wrote Hunk here, good thing Daniel can read properly) and Monsters vs. Aliens. Both good ones :-)

Sunday: showtime! Went to look at the apartment on Skidskyttevägen 4 and decided we want it ;-) We'll see what happens next! Once back home we called my mum and dad and went to their place as soon as we had finished dinner at our local Thai restaurant - Phrik Thai, awesome food! Anwhoo, was very nice, we had coffee and mum had made her home made apple cake (and dad had helped peeling the apples and getting the cake mold ready), yummy! Got home sometime past 7 PM and began getting the new sink ready. It's a lot of work, still not ready today!

Buuuut, it's a new day tomorrow! Good night everyone!
With love!

Tuesday 15 September 2009

Nespresso

Evening all, how are you? We're done tidying now and seated in the livingroom having a Piggelin ;-) Got the estate agent visiting tomorrow which should be fun, I'm dying to see how much the apartment on Skidskyttevägen went for! And also interesting to see what he can offer us and if their firm would be an option for when we sell our place.

While still at work we decided to go to Nespresso on Biblioteksgatan 14 once we got off, and so we did. They have a new flavour named Singatoba;

Refreshing notes of blackcurrant berries and grapefruit accompany sweet woody notes reminiscent of liquorice sticks and certain conifers. It has a rich and distinctive profile and is full-bodied with a touch of acidity.

Sounds quite interesting, will try it tomorrow and give you a full review, promise! Also we got some more Decaffinato Lungo, Decaffinato Intenso and Vivalto. Will be needing coffee for tomorrow and also for Thursday when Micha will be visiting. Oh, before I forget, while at Nespresso we ran into a famous Swedish guy, participating in commercials for one of our bigger food store chains;

He was standing right beside us, shame on me for not asking his autograph ;-)

Oh, USA calling, gotta go! Sleep well!

Cute

Hihi, looks like me and Daniel (with Daniel being the darker one) although not as hairy ;)

Nobody puts baby in a corner!

Patrick Swayze has passed away at the age 57, after battling against stage four pancreatic cancer for almost two years. I think I must've seen his Dirty Dancing and Ghost a million times!

Rest in peace.

Accident

Latest events from our star paparazzis! They are reporting a car accident outside of Kungsör involving a car and an elk.

Probable outcome: car 1 - 0 elk.

Stay tuned for more news! Good night, wherever you are.

Lovely Monday

It's Monday and we're NOT at work, how about that ;-) This is luxury! We're seated at the kitchen table, surfing a little and planning the day. The weather is lovely so thinking we'll take the jeep to the centre of Arboga for a cup of coffee somewhere. I wish (for three more wishes!) that we could have a couple of more days off work - that would have been soooooo nice! Hahaha, you always wish for more, don't you? Human nature i suppose ;-)

We did quite a lot of guitar playing the other night, there's a new Rockband version out: The Beatles! Great fun! Friday night I was only singing but last night I hopped on the guitar challenge, and I loved it! I slapped the base and Daniel played the guitar and we rocked! Makes you feel very musically talented ;-) Hoping for a piano soon!

Played the old one aswell and just loooove 21 Guns by Green Day!

Right, best go outside so this day doesn't just vanish! Have a good Monday!

Sunday 13 September 2009

ROCKBAND

Time for rockband! See you all later ;-) /MWAH!

Magnetising

Helloooo! Went to Västerås today for lunch, and then some strolling at our mecka MediaMarkt. We will be getting a new washing machine so having a look at that :-) After that we went to investigate the surroundings of a house we had seen on Hemnet that's for sale, which looked very nice! That area will definitely be an option for when we decide to leave Stockholm! Moved on to Skultuna where they sell jewellery and so I bought this:

A big trademark here in Sweden named SNÖ (translates to snow). Daniel found two beautiful brown towels and a rug for the bathroom. After that we went to have a look at Åmänningevägen where the Skantz family used to live. Still looks soo much the same, only the wrong cars standing in the driveway and no familiar smiling faces in the windows. We were both very mushy as we left. This led us to decide we could use a cheer-me-up so moved on to the centre of Västerås where we stopped for a latte/cappucino and some cake. Wish we could remember the name, was quite a nice place :-) Daniel showed me with a small spoon how to magnetise your nose:

Of course I had to be worse...

We managed to find our car and then Daniel showed me where he had lived earlier. Stopped by Asplunds on way back to Arboga for some groceries and carried on back to the house. This is the final result:

Looking good huh? ;-) Pork fillet with gratinated potatoes! That goo you see on the bottom of the picture is butter with parsley in it, and some feta cheese on the top. Yumster! :-D

Hope you'll all have a good evening, I'm certain we will!
LOVE from us!

Mind games

It's 12.30 PM and we are still in the house, will be going to Västerås for lunch and some shopping soon!

Yesterday was a relaxing day, we were both quite tired so didn't rush anything really. We started off with a nice breakfast and then some surfing. Found the crime investigation game named Clue for iPhones (like Cluedo) on the internet which we downloaded and started playing. This ended up being the ONLY thing we did for the whole day... *cough*

Around 6PM we took a warm shower and then back to Clue for a while, until we were drowned by our screaming stomachs - 8.30PM??! Eeek! OK, no chance of getting food off the store now as they close at 8PM... Went to the gas station for bread (for breakfast) and then stopped by the closest pizzeria (which we can NOT recommend by the way, I didn't even eat half of my Calzone). Back to some mind boggling mysteries and then to bed, WITH the phone and Clue. I was awake for like five minutes, but Daniel had stayed awake for around 30 minutes to finish the particular chapter of the game. This morning Daniel told me I had woken up a while after I had fallen asleep, I was on my side facing Daniel and had stretched my arm out in the direction of Lena and Tords bedroom.

Lina: Is that the toilet?
Daniel: No, that's mum and dads bedroom...
Lina: Aha.

...

Daniel: I think it would upset them if you went in there to do your stuff...
Lina: Aha.

I checked the bedroom this morning and NO WORRIES guys!

I wonder where I thought I was, I DO know my way around here quite well now...

This Is Life.

Breakfast. Coffee with a sandwich on the terrace in Arboga. The sun is warm and the breeze is causing the leaves to rustle, some of them already bright yellow and orange. It's dead silent, if you count out the birds chirping, or the trees whispering, or the occassional comment from me or Daniel hihi!

This is life (did you hear me sigh with relief?).

Been talking about going to Lindesberg to visit Caroline at her family's summer house, but turns out it's quite a lot further than we had thought. Bleh! I think we need the calm here while waiting
for the REAL holiday in December. Really too long working for a full year with no proper holiday; two weeks in March isn't quite enough to get fully rested. Even though that trip was the best in my life! :-D

Daniel will mow the lawn once the dew has dried, and I'll be the housewife without the kitchen apron again, watering the flowers, doing the dishes and making the beds. Have to go shopping for food, but first we have to DECIDE what to eat. A true industrial country luxury descision ;-)

So how are you guys in Pittsburgh? Having a good time? :-) We will try to catch you on Skype later today!

Richard, I hope you'll have a good weekend and that you can make it to both weddings! Don't forget their pressies! :-D

Mon Cherie, I hope you, Ed and Jack will have a great weekend, wohoo that Ed has today off :-) Looking forward to seeing your blog flourish again ;-) ./mwah!

Oh, and the hunt for a new apartment carries on, we've been having a hard time letting that apartment on Skidskyttevägen go as we totally fell in love with it. Soo, after a looong hard discussion (err well, not really hahaha!) we've decided to have another look in that area :-)

Mini holiday

ZzzzZZZzzz... AH-MA-GAAD I'm so tired! Fell asleep at 2 AM (!) and then up to the unforgiving wake up call at 7 AM. Business as usual ;-)

Had a good evening last night, I bought sushi and waited for Caroline to get off work, then we hopped into the baby BMW and drove to Carolines in Åkersberga. Isa, Carolines black female cat (with a mind of her own) came to meet us at the door and talked quite a lot until she got her dinner hihi. Which, by the way, I could give her! Oh dear, how I love cats... We put OUR dinner (well hellooooo Mister Sushi, love you long time!) on the livingroom table, started the Twilight DVD and began enjoying the evening ;-) Directly after we had finished dinner we made our beloved (HUGE by the way) lattes, with cinnamon on top, shaped as stars (we ARE stars! mohaha) and some added sugar. Not to forget the Singoalla bisquits, mmmmmmm. Shame on me for not taking any pics (yes, Richard, it did happen even though there are no pictures) ;-)

At the moment I'm at my desk having breakfast, a much needed energy boost. Nooo clue how I'm gonna last the day, when you sleep this little you actually feel ill hahaha! Oh well, we've got THREE days off work ahead of us, can't wait :-) Hoping for great weather so we can take a ride in the jeep and have some walks etcetera, we might even go to Örebro eller Västerås for some shopping if we can find the energy as we both could use a pair of new jeans. Perhaps can find our way to a pearl and beads shop aswell, IF we're lucky hihi.

Oh how I love the cool, fresh air in the morning!

Today is 8 years since 9/11.

Tord 58!

Happy birthday! Here's a cake we hope you'll like, with extra marzipan on it!
Hope you guys will have a great time in Pittsburgh :-)

Sushi, Singoalla and Twilight

Back from work, pasta sallad with chicken is on the table. I'm in the livingroom waiting for Dan the Man, who's in the kitchen talking to his uncle Lennart :-) Lennart turned 50 this Sunday and so we got him, together with the Skantz family, some fine wines which we hope he and his wife Marie will enjoy :-) We were quite interested in them ourselves... *cough*

Work was busy but smooth, and I've had time to scan the internet again for new apartments. Did find a few but have to have a closer look... We were quite interested in an apartment on Tosterövägen (not too far from here) but wanted to investigate the surroundings before we called the estate agent. This turned out to be a brilliant decision as the they were HIDEOUSLY non attractive hahaha! OK, so not Tosterövägen then...

While at work I set the alarm so I would remember to bring the Twilight movie to Carolines where I'll be going tomorrow after work for a Sushi-Singoalla-Twilight night! Looking forward to it!

Right, time to get going - we have tidying on the schedule! Also the Apple event (it's only rock and roll) will begin at 7PM.
