Just another manic Monday

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend in the sun :-) Totally feeling like autumn now, wohooo! I brought out my red jacket from the closet Saturday and oooh how I've missed it! Now I just have to wait for the trees to turn yellow and orange.

Our weekend has been great. We woke up on Saturday and took it real slow, had coffee in bed, I finished The Host (and cried a lot in the end) and Daniel brought the computer to the bed for some surfin'. Around 12AM we hopped onto the quad and went to Vaxholm for lunch, that's about 40 minutes door to door. Was quite windy but the sun was out and it was warm :-) I apologize for my hair, it's a total mess on the picture. It IS a braid when you put the helmet on but once you take it off it looks like this.

In the evening we went out with Stefan, Mimmi and a friend of theirs named Elin to Rigoletto (a cinema downtown) to see the movie District 9. It felt like they'd attempted the feel of a documentary which was an interesting approach. I THINK I liked it, although didn't like humans after the movie. They were all very brutal and inhuman and egostic! It gets 3 hearts out of 5 ♥ ♥ ♥ X X.

Sunday morning I woke early again, around 7AM, got up at 9AM for breakfast. We entered the Cleaning Lady-mode - Daniel cleaned the bathroom and I cleaned the kitchen, teamwork at it's best hihihi! Went to toss away some garbage at a nearby recycling station and then went back home. At 5PM Caroline called, saying she had arrived, so I went out to meet her! Looking beautiful as always ♥ Daniel ran off to the Thai restaurant around the corner and bought food. YUM! Long time since we had thai food! I had my usual phad thai with prawns, Caroline had phad thai with chicken and Daniel munched on his baby back ribs :-) Had a cappucino each afterwards and also my sticky chocolate cake, which was even more sticky as I took it out of the oven 5 minutes early. It was an experiment that turned out quite well, hihi. Saw a movie named The Hurt Locker, about mine sweepers in Iran (I think, or Iraq). Was quite interesting but very scary that some people actually live that kind of life, no wonder the world looks like this.

Mean machines

No mooovie today. No racing today. What happend was; we got home, had hot dogs with ketchup (well, me, Daniel doesn't like ketchup), comfortably seated in the sofa watching the rest of Alien vs. Predator we had started watching last night, and then w e n t t o b e d. We went to bed. Had been longing for my pillow all day! So, a 30 minute power nap and then woke up. I desperatly wished I had been able to stay in bed until tomorrow morning but SOMEONE named Daniel kept encouraging me to get up ;-) And up we went, hopped into our motorcycle gear and went out for a spin. And now, I proudly present to you, a couple of long awaited pictures!

Tord, Daniel's dad

Lena, Daniel's mom

It's a Dinli 450 quad from 2007, has 50 bhp, 450 cc four stroke engine. It rawks!

And while on the subject of engines and machines - Transformers! Haha, I KNEW they were real! Daniel found this - living proof of Transformers being real on www.sportbilen.se (sportbil = sports car)! Just have to get behind the scenes and find out where they hide daytime.

Awesome Transformers Halloween Costume.

Sorry to keep you up but just can't help but posting this video aswell, it's Ken Block driving and playing with his car (a Subaru Impreza) like a true madman.

Sleep well everyone!

It's FRIDAY!

Breathe in, breathe out. Sort of what I had to CONCENTRATE on doing yesterday. Got to work at 7.30 AM along with Jessica (one of my co-workers) and began preparing for the big event/kickoff that was scheduled to begin at 8.30 AM, ending at 6 PM. I don't think I sat down for more than 30 minutes a time! And that was DURING LUNCH! Hahaha, holidays are over, welcome back to reality ;-) I'm soooo happy I didn't join in for the dinner out and the party afterwards, felt good being a party pooper this time cos I got to sleep a full night, a fair trade me thinks! I did take two sleeping pills so I guess you can say I cheated a little :-p

Guess what day it is? F R I D A Y :-D Hoping to go see a new movie, District 9, tonight!

And perhaps, after that, we're in for some speed! ;-) There are people driving around in race cars on the streets and so we hope there'll be a full scale race tonight! Hopefully Stefan and Mimmi will join in on the fun! I hope I can stay awake for the whole night, starting to feel low again, sinuses and throat hurting. Bleh! I don't have time (or I don't WANT) to get ill. Perhaps a whisky can kill off the bacterias ;-) Worth a shot anyway!

Oh dear, I LOVE the fact that it's Friday! WOHOOO!

Update: Seems the movie I've posted is not in the right size and unfortunately I can't resize it >_< www.youtube.com for a better "version"!

Movie all night

Morning! Not so lovely weather today, have been raining tonight and also raining this morning, and STILL raining as we speak :-p Went to our local BMW retailer to hand in our baby for an overhaul (first one for us, it's gone 3000 mil/30 000 kilometres). We started off great, Daniel drove the quad and I went by car, took us about ten minutes to get there. We handed in the keys and went back outside, hopped on the quad and went for work. Well at work I realised my socks were soaking wet! I had thought I could manage with my sneakers but nooo... It seems the need for proper motorcycle boots is growing rapidly... :-p

We had a good time yesterday, thank you Stefan and Mimmi! I got off work at 3.30 PM and walked home, Daniel got home around 4.45 PM. Dinner consisted of tacos, of course.. *cough* I think we might benefit from a cooking course, mohaha, right Daniel? ;-) Anywho, Stefan, Mimmi, Daniel and I went to a local store to rent a movie and ended up with Moscow Zero, some crappy movie with Val Kilmer in it. Boo, I don't like Val Kilmer at all! Everyone bought candy but I didn't! Unless you count cherries as sweets hihi. Cherries, which I should NOT eat by the way, for reasons I wont explain too thoroughly.

Tum te tum.

"In Moscow, the priest Owen hires a team to guide him in the underworld to find his friend Sergei that is missing while researching the legend about the existence of demons and an entrance to hell beneath the city."

Can't say I recommend it. But like I said earlier, it was a very nice evening and I really enjoyed it. Oooops, just remembered now we TOTALLY forgot to serve them coffee/cappuccino! Eeeeek! We've been bragging about our fancy coffee machine for ages hahaha and so we FORGET to show it! Perhaps we don't deserve it fully :-P

Kids these days

iPhone for sale

Woke up this morning to my phone beeping, which is how I usually wake up every morning. Apparently I was very LUCKY my phone began beeping the time I had told it to. This due to a planned task at Telia which caused the time servers sending out the wrong time... This malfunction affected other systems using this time synchronisation aswell, such as the Android phones, and they can't tell when it will be sorted. Good work, Telia ;-) Anyone need an iPhone?

Beginning to wonder what's wrong with me and my pretty little tummy... It seems I have an extremely high metabolism OR I'm an infant (which I do not think is the correct answer as I don't look like one..). Either way I had breakfast sometime at 8-8.30, and already I'm hungry... Is it ment to be this way? I can't eat all the time, I'll end up being wider than I am tall! Anywho, looking forward to going out for lunch, these two plums I had just now didn't do the trick, nor does drinking endless amounts of water seem to dampen the hunger. *grmbl*

Off to the gym tonight, and this time we really will be going! Have been postponing it long enough now with the oh-we-have-a-quad-let's-go-out-and-play-with-it! :-D (will be posting pictures as soon as I can!). Wish us luck!

Family evening

Seated in the kitchen waiting for my parents to come visit - I've made a chocolate cake (one that's really sticky hahaha, one of my favourites)! Been longing for our own coffee since this morning when I tasted the coffee at work... Done the dishes and the laundry AND painted my nails in pretty pink. Right now we're skyping with Mia, Alfred and Melvin, they're having lunch and both Melvin and Alfred sang us the song about the alphabet. You are doing great, guys :-)

Here's what we'll be eating.. I wish I had a better camera ;-) See you later! /mwah!

ABSOLUT

Lookie lookie what I found on one of my fav websites, Hemfeber:

Yet another ABSOLUT VODKA suit! This one is created in cooperation with an artist named Natalia Brill (who's famous for wrapping things up in leather). A bottle in suit for the rock'n roller! ;-) I hope this one will be available on Systembolaget for us mortals to purchase.

A reckless move

Here comes the sun, little darling!

Good morning, sunshine! And indeed it is sunny today! I'll be getting off work at 3PM (lucky me mohaha), rush back home, change into my work out clothes and walk to the gym for a session of sweat and tears. Yes, I'll be going alone, poor Daniel has to work! I'll comfort him with a

- Welcome home, honey, dinner's ready!

when he gets home, like a true (desperate) housewife. Not decided yet on what to cook - any ideas? We had tacos yesterday so guess that's out the window...

Hm.
Brain-dead.

Went to visit our neighbours last night, Pedram and Lotta. They're moving out in November to a newly built building close by and needed some expert feedback on the kithen fan which needs changing. Expert feedback from Daniel that is, Lotta and I were not talking fans at all but discussed wallpapers and colours and design hihi. They offered coffee and Lotta had bought lots of different cookies for this special occasion, yum! The Ballerina biscuit is one of my favourite cookies, along with Singoalla. My best friend Caroline and I must've had a MILLION Singoalla biscuits over the years... They consist of two layers of biscuit, with a centre of raspberry jam and hazelnut filling respectively and are disgusting really; lots of hydrogenated fat and dodgy E-numbers. A true miracle I'm not as wide as I am tall... Went back downstairs (we're on the 1st floor, they're on the 3rd) at 9.30 and did some skyping with the Skantz family. We're glad you seem to like it at your new job, Jan! Mia, this song is for you (well the title atleast, not heard yet what the actual song is about!) :-)

My hands are cold! I think Miss Autumn is on her way, wohoo!

I'm baaaa-haack!

It's been a while since I last wrote here, lots and lots to do! Work is back to normal, most employees are back from their holidays and we've gotten our Jessica back so not just Sus and me working our asses off ;-) Will have Viktoria back on Monday and then things will be the same as usual!

Weather has been acting odd these past days; they start off as sunny and warm and then suddenly it grows dark and BOOM - raining! Temperature has dropped a little but can't really complain about that, can finally sleep at night! Changed the bed last night and ooooh dear how I love going to bed newly showered and the bed is newly changed, awesome! Smells great (could have something to do with the fact we brought them to Arboga to wash them and had the possibility of drying them outdoors..)!

We got a delivery from the USA the other day, turned out to be a gift from Mia, Jan, Alfred and Melvin! Thank you guys! ♥ And thanks for the postcard you sent us from NY! Can't wait to see that place with my own two eyes, really looking forward to it!

Off to the gym after work today, wont be long though as we're off to visit a couple living in our building. And hopefully off out for a while after that :-) Now, for my third cup of coffee...

Grass widow

Good morning! At work now, took a walk here and jeeez is-it-hot-outside! Think I'll stay going by car, atleast until it gets cooler outdoors 'cause this is just not comfy at all hahaha! Got my cup of coffee in front of me, didn't have time to make sandwishes for breakfast though so I'll be looonging for lunch! It's amazing how I remember to eat my iron supplement every morning, didn't think I'd do...

Last night was a good one. Rushed off to the gym once we got off work, stayed there for an hour of exercising and then walked back home. Had dinner, and not just any dinner... we had PIZZA! Oooo yum, but as suspected Mr Guilty Conscience came knocking at the door later on... I'm proud to announce Miss Completely Ignore proved to be both mentally and physically strong and chased him off quickly mohaha! Had a shower and then Daniel went to Andreas by car to help him prepare for redecorating their house. Andreas and Malin has bought a house from the 17th Centrury in Vallentuna (where I come from) and now that Malin is away with the kids, Andreas figured he'd take the opportunity to get started. Four friends and some beer and three rooms where torn down hehe. Daniel got home some time after 9PM, and I'd had an evening where I'd been decorating the couch very beautifully (mohaha) with arms and legs stretched out and with a book in my face (The Host, by Stephenie Meyer).

Daniel is at home sleeping still, he's not had much sleep due to the warmth - bleh! We will have to get an air conditioner if things don't settle soon! ;-) Even though I do enjoy summer (I do!) I must admit I'm more of an autumn person - I love the freshness in the air, all the beautiful colours in the trees and bushes, the coziness when it gets dark outside and you're INside.. I love the leaves rattling when the wind blows, and the condensation on the windows and cars early morning. I love putting on my jacket and knitted scarf and go out for a walk, even if the sun doesn't shine!

I'm soo looking forward to meeting the autumn with you, Daniel :-)

Right now, mom and dad are in their car on way to Skärkdalen in the northern part of Sweden, and later on off to see Flatruet again, the highest situated throughfare in Sweden (975 metres above sea level). They will be staying for a couple of days and then going back to the summerhouse in Hälsingland (about 250 kilometres north of Stockholm). Should be arriving soon so looking forward to their call!
You can definately imagine the reindeers walking by, can't you? :-)

This rock is placed on Flatruet as a remembrance to the inauguration the 31st of July, 1938.

The Smart Car

This is what we will be forced to drive soon... :-S
But look at all the great new choices we will have from the Smart Car...
The Smarvette!

The Smaudi A3 AWD!

The Smarborghini!

The Smarsche!

The Smerarri!

The Smustang!

Thank you Daniel for sending me this brilliant e-mail! :-D

Sunday 9 August 2009

Weekend = too short

Saturday: Up early, well, around 8AM, got dressed and went out for a 10 kilometre walk. Lovely weather! Stopped by the grocery store on our way home to pick up some bread for breakfast, and filled our empty stomachs. Hopped into the car afterwards and went to a place where you wash them - oh my god did it turn out nice :-D Went back home and more or less collapsed on the couch hahaha! The tidying we had planned for the day just HAD to be postponed... ;-)

Went for a nice walk in the evening, less hot outside so very comfortable. Apparently we were not the only ones enjoying the relatively cool evening...

Such a cute little hedgehog! Not at all frightened, he just looked at us, probably wondering why we were crawling up to him on the ground sticking our phones in his face hihi. Got back home after an hour and watched some TV and then jumped to bed. I love going to bed knowing you can sleep for how long as you like, not having to wake up to your cell beeping and urging you to get up...

Sunday: Up NOT so early, around 10AM, made breakfast and drank water, got dressed and went out for a 10 kilometre walk. SOOOOOOO hot outside! Lots of people outdoors; running, walking, riding their bikes, sunbathing.. And Daniel and I walking by looking warm hehehe. Came by this crazy fellow...

The sign said "Bungy Jump" but there was no cord whatsoever attached to him, he just jumped off (or was he PUSHED?!) and fell into that giant safety net. They lowered the net and he stood up so we're assuming he survived. Walked by the grocery store on way home and bought ice cream, ice cream, ice cream and some food for lunch: grilled chicken. Spent the rest of the day at home enjoying the calm before the storm - back to work tomorrow.

Friday 7 August 2009

VRROOOOOM for president!

Back from the movies, seen Public Enemies starring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. Oh dear... what a disappointment! First of all, the movie gets a 2 out of 5, tops! Secondly, there was a guy sitting next to Daniel that was breathing heavily. Through a straw... And last but not least, someone in our very surroundings was suffering from a severe case of SMELLY FEET! Ooooh, did we enjoy being there ;-) Not even the caaaandy made it worth it!

Back home, brought out the red wine (J.P. Chenet roxx) for comfort (no we're not in the dangerous zone).. Thought I'd show you guys where Daniel and I hang out a couple of hours every week :-D

Crosstrainers, rowing machines etcetera. Good ones!

Treadmills in the back, this is where Daniel tries to wear
out his shoes. On your left we have the free weight area.

My favourite machine, chins and dips! I suck at
it, but it's great fun and I'm getting there :-D

Here's Daniel using my favourite machine!

On the second floor (right upper corner) you have
abs/back tools and stretching area.

There is a car repairment/seller in the garage in our building that is repairing custom cars from time to time. So, for the speed junkies out there - this is a modified Corvette C5, remodelled to suit the family man wanting both speed and space! Take a look!

Bought a new bluetooth handsfree for Daniel after work today and he's like a kid on Christmas :-) Oh, it's to go with his new cell phone, HTC Magic (with the new Android stuff). Right, best get to work, Daniel just opened the second wine bottle ;-) Toot tooot!

Love,
Lina and Daniel

Window cleaning

A contribution from our very own master photographer Daniel Karlsson, picture taken from the 6th floor from the building where we both work. Note how the guy cleaning windows is using a 15 metre long stick... I'm glad we live on the first floor, Daniel and I... ;-)

At work, day is finally coming to an end. Well, in 30 minutes it is ;-) Going home to pick up our newly bought air dehumidifier that has turned out to be BROKEN. Yes, we did try it several times, did the laundry twice, had a long warm shower AND kept the door closed. The water was dripping off the walls, so you'd THINK there'd be atleast one drop of water in the container, but noooooo. Also getting me a new quilt as the one I have now is far too warm, probably the reason why I don't sleep too good at night. Either that or Daniel is snoring... *cough*

When done with that we're off to the gym, even though exhausted from yesterday, mohaha!

Happy birthday to Vicky, my co-worker!! *hugs*

With love!
