1 year since losing you

It's been a year now, a full year since losing you, and I feel terribly lost without you. Not a day goes by without me thinking of you or wanting to pick up the phone and give you a call, just to hear you say what you always said when I called, in that happy voice. Sometimes when waking in the morning I've supressed the fact that you're no longer with us, but then as I remember a few seconds later the panic hits me with it's full force. I miss you more than I can say!

Yikes - yolks!

Elloes! I hope you are all well, especially you Richard - you've been icky for far too long now!

I've had an OK day at work, lots to do as always :-) Had lunch with Jessica and Nadia and some decorating dudes (they're painting and redecorating at the office). When leavning work today I found myself in the middle of a group of teenage girls, approximately 15-16 years of age, it made me laugh to myself when overhearing what they were saying:

- Sexy boys, sexy cars and sexy money.

Haha! Now that's a girl who knows what makes the world spin ;-)

Went to get my nails done today and had a great time at the salon, everyone were talking and having a good time. The woman doing my nails was very good and I'm happy with her work! Didn't make them too long tho as I'd break them in an instant. Yes, I've already tried.

Got an interesting surprise when making dinner...
I've NEVER seen and egg with two yolks! Have you? I hope it still tasted the same, I ate the normal egg.

No gym for me today, did some work when I got home as I left a little earlier, and after that I was too tired. Have lost 4 kilos in these past weeks so I'm pretty happy with myself anyways :-) Daniel had his neck pains again today so we'll probably just see a movie as soon as he's done setting his new work computer up. That's the life of a person within IT - no IT helpdesk who can set up your computer for you.

Training day

Back from a training session at World Class. Did my time on the crosstrainer and jeeez that is good exercise! Lots of people there at this time of day so will probably go there later next time, I don't like having to almost fight over the machines hahaha! And also when there are not as many people around you can go at it your own pace pretty much, when there's lots of others around and they are BETTER than you, you tend to try to kill yourself speeding it up ;-) Walked there and home in this cold cold weather, it's easily below 10 degrees Celsius!

INTERMISSION.

Yes, it's -11,3 degrees Celsius. I do love Sweden and the winter and all the snow but I must admit it did get a little chilly walking. Should get a pair of thermo leggings or something to keep me warm.

Got some presents at work today; a black backpack with The Country Of Sweden - ABSOLUT printed on it, three compressed towels, an ABSOLUT lipgloss, a Malibu USB stick and a Kahlúa wallet. Great stuff, thank you Freddie :-)

Finally home

In the sofa watching Biggest Loser Australia which I well deserve - another loooong day! Didn't even have time to eat lunch o.O They've all had some amazing weight loss this week, good work! Daniel and I have been doing well this week too, went to the gym Sunday morning and also yesterday evening. Having a rest today and off again tomorrow! It feels great to FINALLY be back on track - FINALLY! No more ickyness keeping me from working out.

Made a reservation to get my nails done - Thursday, here I come! I've noticed this place several times when walking by on way to shop for food after leaving the subway station, and then finally had the chance to go inside as they were still open one day as I walked past. It's called Noomi På Torget (Noomi herself is on maternity leave) and has gotten some nice reviews on the internet.

I'll let you know how it went ;-)

Out of office

Today is Friday - where did the rest of the week go? o.O

Daniel and I went to Norra Brunn Comedy Club yesterday as a belated birthday present :-) There were three comedians; Jörgen Sjöberg, Tobias Persson and Thomas Oredsson. I liked Jörgen the best! Had tenderloin with potatoes and bearnaie sauce for dinner, along with a beer and a Mojito - yum! Got back to the hotel around 11.30 PM to check in, thank you Bodil!! It's a very nice hotel focusing on great design, however it turned out that our room was less well situated... The street outside was very busy by lorries and buses, and them driving by every five minutes made the bed vibrate = no sleep. Fell asleep after 2 AM, then woke up as Daniels less intellectual colleague phoned twice, first call at 3.45 AM. Had about 2 hours of sleep in total.

Went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast; I love hotel breakfasts! Such a luxury to just pick whatever you like and KNOW THAT SOMEONE ELSE WILL CLEAN UP! Mohahaha! My sweet colleague and friend Sara was there also with her husband Anders, so we sat down at their table and then went to work by taxi.

Off for a movie in about an hour, bought tickets for Gulliver's Travels in 3D - Jack Black is so funny, we're really looking forward to it! :-)

One of my colleagues sent me an aoutoreply he had received earlier, at first we couldn't believe it was true or a joke..! Hahahaha, read and decide for yourselves:

Back home from a date with my best friend Caroline! I got off work at 4.30 PM and hopped on the subway and later the train and arrived Täby Centrum at 5.20 PM. So fun to see her :-) We went for dinner at the taco bar, the food is OK but nothing to kill for really. Did some window shopping and then Daniel came pick me up as Täby Centrum closes at 7 PM. I'm now seated in one of the sofa chairs, Daniel will start working in a bit and I'll fold the dried clothes.

Sounds like an exciting evening, huh? ;-)

Phoned my little brother Fredrik earlier today and was very worried as he told me he had spent the whole morning at the emergency room at the hospital. Apparently he had fallen off a stair, hit his chin and arm so bad he had to do stitches! :-( He's at home now and hopefully asleep, the shock had worn off when we spoke so he wasn't nauseous anymore. Oh dear - scary stuff, my dear little brother ♥

Off to the hair dresser tomorrow after work, then off home, do some packing COS DANIEL AND I ARE OFF FOR A COMEDY CLUB AND THEN A NIGHT AT THE LYDMAR HOTEL! And guess what? The night at the hotel is for free ;-)

Me ♥ you

Had a very productive day at work today and also did some shopping on the way home to surprise Daniel. We went to the shopping mall in Liljeholmen (5 minute walk from where I spend all my days) on Saturday just to get out and perhaps grab a cup of coffee. While walking about we figured "hey, why not enter a few shops, see if we can find something nice" and ended up getting Daniel several new t-shirts and long sleeved shirts - very nice! We also found a very nice jacket on Jack & Jones that he tried on and really loved. For some reason he didn't buy it, and then spoke of it again during the evening, so I had the idea of buying it for him for Valentine's Day... ;-)

Phoned my little brother to wish him a Happy Valentine's Day, he was on his way home from work, stuck in queues, to pick up his girlfriend and drive her to the massage dude. I invited him over for dinner (as he wouldn't have time to eat before dropping his girlfriend off) and to get the jacket he had forgotten while visiting for my birthday. Pancakes and jam for Fredrik! I got to look after his gorgeous son Caiden while he was eating, and him and I stumbled (well, him more than me) around the livingroom and loggia trying to catch up with Morris and Diesel haha! Can you believe Caiden can walk now?! Wow, time flies!

Miss dad terribly every time I see Fredrik, he resembles dad a lot, and pains me every time. Still it's soooo perfect seeing him, I really wish we'd see eachother more often.

Good Riddance

Sweet, sweet Saturday! This week has passed by extremely quickly and yet it's been a long week, lots of work and not much sleep. We celebrated the arrival of Friday by having a glass of red wine and play some rockband: green day - awesome! I had the microphone and Daniel played the drums, sometimes I mix my singing with playing the bass/guitarr but this time singing was quite enough. Good Riddance is definitely one of their best songs, and we were both very happy they played it at the concert! No doubt the best band in the world!

Went to the gym this morning to lift weights and for some cardio. Weights went fine but then there were soooo many people there the cardio had to be skipped - no available machines >_< So we had a quick walk back home, it's about 15 minutes one way, so wasn't too bad.

I fell down the stairs on my way to work yesterday morning; just outside of Pressbyrån after crossing the rails. Due to the heavy snowfall the stairs were packed with snow and looked like a helter-skelter. I came walking (fully knowing this stair is treacherous) in my slippery boots and fell at the top, sliding all the way down. My butt was full of snow so I later had to hang it up to dry, and I hurt my hand and wrist. At the moment I have a bruise in my palm, and all stiff in the right shoulder/side. What made this a funny event is that when I had gotten up and carried on walking I heard other people falling down the stairs behind me ;-) Totally made my day!

Will see what this day will bring next, have no plans whatsoever. Looks to be a wonderful day with all this gorgeous snow and bright sky!

Today is my birthday! This time it kind of cheated and took me by surprise, haven't really had time to look forward to it. Although I must admit, as times change, you do tend to NOT look forward to it as much as when you where a kid :-) Getting older has both it's ups and downs! I've received lots of congratulations on both facebook, SMS and via phonecalls - thank you all ♥

Will have a get together with Daniel, my mum, little brother and his family and Lena and Tord on Saturday which will be great! Haven't met any of them in a while now (well, apart from Daniel of course haha) so this I'm really looking forward to. Will have to decide if to make a cake at home or if we should go buy one ;-) Leaning towards buying a nice looking cake from the nearby patisserie...

Not feeling at all well today, started feeling icky a couple of days ago when I began coughing and got a sore throat. Would've stayed home from work yesterday but had a big event at work that I had to attend to (part of arranging it). Today = no meetings = Lina in bed! Have been working a little from the bed but gave up. My dear mother-in-law has suggested that I drink tea with whisky in it to kill the sore throat but sounds disgusting ;-)

Daniel has prepared a big surprise for me tonight and he's not said a word about it other than I need nice clothes, apparently we were to have dinner at 7 PM and then there's an activity of some sort. Unfortunately we've had to reschedule for February 17 as I'm not feeling well at all. Looking forward to it! :-D

At the moment I'm in the sofa trying to blog a little while the cats run around me in their "kattfnatt" mood. Crazy cats! I'm amazed to say that nothing has been broken since they moved in on October 29, just one thing and it wasn't even expensive!
